Why a garden
This site used to be a landing page: a name, a player, some links pointing elsewhere. It was a funnel, and it felt like one.
A digital garden works differently. Pieces of writing live here for good and link to each other; old ones get tended and updated instead of buried under new ones. What I write about music sits next to everything else I’m thinking about, and a page like now can change as often as I do.
It also means things here can be unfinished. Some links lead to pages that don’t exist yet — like these notes on listening — and that’s part of the point.
